Overweight Students Given Monitoring Bracelets By School

Some schools are now spying on overweight students by making them wear a monitoring bracelet.

According to an article from the New York Post, the school district in Bay Shore, New York ordered 10 of the monitors for use starting this spring. The devices are worn on the wrists and count heartbeats, detect motion. They even track students' sleeping habits.

It's that time of year again!

As parents, we both breathe a sigh of relief and tear up realizing our babies are growing up way too fast.

Here are some safety tips to help prepare for the upcoming year. Now, I realize most of these are common sense, and chances are you've already followed a few of these. But as the kids in school know, it's always good to get a refresher course. (Unless you have to pay for it!)
