October 3, 2012 Folks in the Northland are proud of their hearty nature - being able to bundle up and deal with some of the harshest Mother Nature can cook up. While we're used to winter being a long string of cold and snow, the Weather Channel feels these winter events are a bigger deal, looking to name winter storms similarly to how hurricanes are named.
October 3, 2012 Flooding, a hot summer, and some early snowfall a couple weeks ago west and north of Duluth have shown how temperamental weather in Northern Minnesota can be. While not completely bizarre, an early snow storm looks to continue the trend, prompting a winter storm watch for parts of Minnesota this week.
This summer has been unusually hot, with record-breaking temperatures all over the country. But in a few months, we may be wishing for a little of that heat — forecasters are warning we should brace for a particularly harsh winter.

January 25, 2012 I've seen some crazy people driving during snowstorms, but this person takes the cake for the most insane person ever. During a snowstorm in Harrisburg, PA, some fellow drivers caught this person driving in the snow filled median of the highway.
January 23, 2012 A powerful snowstorm hit parts of Utah on Saturday causing problems in one neighborhood, and it was all caught on video. We know all about slippery streets around here, although we haven't experienced much of it this year, but I've never seen anything like this, I think the total count is 3 curb hits, 1 360 spin, about 6 accidents, 3 cars in yards, and lots of cars out of control.
December 12, 2011 I was going through pictures from the past year while working on a Christmas Present. Yes, I'm crafty and thoughtful when it comes to my gift giving. March 23, 2011 Another storm has come and gone with nothing but underwhelming results in the Twin Ports. Officially we got less than an inch of snow through the overnight, but lots of wind.
Expect flurries throughout the day, with totals equaling less than an inch. Heavy winds will continue with gusts up to 45 mph.
The heavy winds off the lake blew dry air into the oncoming storm which prevented the snow from forming.
