soccer ball. pop

How hard to you have to land on a soccer ball to actually pop it? Well If you are this guy, and drop about 4 feet straight down on it, I guess the answer is pretty easy. My question is, was he trying to actually kick the ball or was he trying to flatten it on purpose...
