While most of Scooter Braun’s profile in The New Yorker was about his business model and his relationship with the most famous (and likely profitable) of his cache of clients, the piece did reveal some “fun” that Justin Bieber had with ‘The Voice’ host Carson Daly and the Wanted‘s Siva Kaneswaran, which eventually spilled over to include Braun. He was punching people in the crotch. Oh Biebs…
Everyone’s taking quite the trip down memory lane lately. First we had the Spice Girls performing at the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, then it was 98 Degrees reuniting on ‘The Today Show,’ and now it’s 98 Degrees again, performing with the Wanted and New Kids on the Block at the first-ever MixTape Festival in Hershey, Penn. We’re not really complaining…
Britney Spears once joked that her family is “country” when she was caught driving with one of her sons on her lap. She was commenting on being from the south and doing things a little differently. However, it’s the pop diva’s Southern charm and her big, ear-to-ear smile that impressed those British and Irish boys from the Wanted the most when they met her. It’s better than being forced to turn the other way and face the wall and not make eye contact with the star.
Ladies in New York, are you ready? The Wanted will cruise into Terminal 5 at JFK Airport in New York on Aug. 22 for an intimate performance, courtesy of airline JetBlue. The boys will kick off a week of high-profile TV performances with their ‘Live From T5′ gig, set for 6PM ET. JetBlue has hosted performances in the terminal in the past, but this certainly is a big “get” for the airline.
There’s no beefing between U.K. boy bands the Wanted and One Direction. While the press tries to create some drama between the groups because they are cute, talented and from the same region, the Wanted were quick to shut that down, admitting they support one another. The Wanted, who are a bit older, even invited 1D for a drink … when they can drink legally, that is. We love responsible boy bands.

Kelly Clarkson and the Wanted on the same bill? The only way that could be sweeter is if there were chocolate involved. And in terms of the 2012 Mixtape Festival, it is.
The sun goes down, the stars come out, the Wanted strips down. We know, we just rewrote the lyrics to The Wanted’s smash hit ‘Glad You Came’ but it’s within in reason and we don’t mean stripped down in that way. We’re not that kinda site. The British boy band performed ‘Glad You Came’ and a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ mega hit ballad ‘Iris’ acoustically for Slacker Radio in San Diego, Calif.
It’s the battle of the British Boy bands and their bone of contention is Justin Bieber!
