Target announced today that they will start rolling out same-day delivery in some Minnesota locations starting March 1st.

The rollout will begin in the Twin Cities area and by the start of the holiday shopping season, they hope to have same-day delivery in the majority of stores according to KARE 11.

The delivery will be provided by Shipt, a company that Target acquired at the end of last year and requires an annual membership fee of $99, but they are offering an introductory special of $49 for the first year plus a $15 credit when you spend $100 on your first order.

The service will start on March 1st and allow customers to have groceries, essentials, home, electronics, toys and other products delivered from a local Target store.

No word on when and if the service will be available in Duluth or Superior, but stay tuned.

Shipt will be hiring around 4,000 shoppers/delivery people in the coming weeks to begin the rollout, job information can be found here.
