Halsey, Lil Yachty Make Super Cameos in ‘Teen Titans GO! to the Movies’

Voice cameos in kids‘ movies are fun details, whether the kids recognize them or not, but the supporting cast for Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is getting some help from a couple of folks whose voices are pretty recognizable to any youngster scrolling through iTunes. (Don’t they all have iPhones now? I dunno, I got my first phone when I was 16.)

The singer Halsey will be playing Amazon warrior Wonder Woman in the movie, and the rapper Lil Yachty will be lending his vocal talents to Green Lantern. “Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast,” executive producer Sam Register said, per USA Today.

Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is a meta take on the revamped Cartoon Network superhero show, that sees Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Robin going on a quest to find a popular Hollywood director (Kristen Bell) to make their silver screen debut. At least somewhere there’s a universe where women can direct superhero movies ...
