The Bridge at Pattison Park Should Be Open to Traffic By Next Week
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department Facebook Page contractors have begun work on the bridge at Pattison Park. If all goes as planned they hope to have it open to traffic by early next week or possibly even sooner.
According to the Wisconsin DNR heavy rains across Northwestern Wisconsin the weekend of June 15th brought anywhere from 7-12 inches of rain flooding roads and causing some wash outs on some highways, roads, state parks .
The dam forming Interfalls Lake at Pattison State Park washed out, taking out part of Highway 35 and closing the road. One week ago at Pattison State Park which is 13 miles South of Superior, the only thing that was open was the campground.
For many people in the area this massive flooding caused so much damage in so many areas and made access to homes and businesses very difficult.
