Back in March, we let you know about the Mall of America's plans to build one of the largest indoor waterparks in the world, they are still doing it, but they've decided to go bigger.

The owners of the mall originally planned a 225,000 square foot, $150-$200 million waterpark, now the plans call for 250,000 square feet, with the estimated cost growing to $230-$250 million.

The waterpark will be open to the public, unlike the Great Wolf Lodge which is located next to the Mall of America and requires a hotel stay to use the waterpark.

The waterpark will be owned by a nonprofit that will be set up by the owners of the Mall of America and will transfer ownership to the City of Bloomington after about 30 years.

If all goes well, the waterpark could open as soon as 2021.
