According to Nameberry, “the unique baby name guide by the world’s leading experts”, 11 names are on track to be the biggest of 2012. They have done “analysis of nearly 3 million views of Nameberry’s individual name pages in the first quarter of 2012 compared with the same period last year” to come up with this list of hot and trendy baby names for 2012.
- Rue – Thank the ‘Hunger Games’ for this one
- Emmett – Emmett rising on the coattails of wildly popular sister names Emma and Emily
- Ivy – Beyonce and Jay-Z may have a little to do with this one
- Weston, Wesley, and West – I wonder if East is jealous, brother Easton and Weston perhaps?
- Adele – Gee, I wonder?
- Grayson and Gray – Very medieval
- Aria – I think this is a beautiful name.
- Cyrus
- Estelle – I like classic names like this.
- Cato – another ‘Hunger Games’ name
- Blythe – huh?!
