Congrats are in order for The Weeknd. The 26-year-old Toronto singer has officially broken the record for most Spotify streams in one day for a single artist.

Of course, the record is a direct result of The Weeknd's new album release, Starboy, which dropped on Nov. 28. Spotify hasn't released the exact number of streams that broke the record, nor has the platform revealed the previous record. However, Musically estimates that Starboy's songs combine for 32.8 million streams per day. All 18 songs from the project have cracked Spotify's Global Top 50 chart, and the opening title track has the most streams at four million.

Republic Records' chairman and co-founder Monte Lipman says in a statement, “Spotify’s continued support of The Weeknd has now reached historic proportions and also reinforces the tremendous growth of global streaming."

Meanwhile, Spotify’s global head of creator services Troy Carter says, "We’re proud to have partnered with The Weeknd, his management and Republic Records on a phenomenal album. We look forward to breaking even more records together in the near future."

Starboy features two collaborations with rap superstars in Future and Kendrick Lamar. In a new interview with Zane Lowe, The Weeknd talked about the K. Dot collaboration "Sidewalks."

“He’s a genius. He is really a genius,” Abel says of Kendrick. “He’d walk around. He’d play the record over and over again. I played him songs, the Starboy theme of course, which he incorporated into his verse. He would just walk around. We had food. He’s writing his verse in his head. He would go into his phone, look at it a few and then put it back and start walking around. He then at one point went into the studio booth and I closed the door and I could hear him yelling his verse in his head. He was really committed, you can tell he put his all into."

In case you missed it, be sure to check out Abel perform "Starboy" on Ellen. You can cop Starboy on iTunes now for $13.99.
