Truck Haluling 45,000 Pounds of Explosive Ammonium Nitrate Rolled Over in Hibbing

A semi hauling 45,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive liquid, has rolled over near Hibbing Taconite.

Emergency crews are on standby, monitoring the situation. As of right now, hydraulic fluid from the truck is reported leaking, but there are no reports of the ammonium nitrate leaking from the truck at the time of this report. Plans were in place to evacuate a mile-wide area around the rollover, but those plans have been suspended being the situation seems stable at this time.
