UMD’s Champ Launches A Campaign To Get A New #1 Flag

The athletics programs at the University of Minnesota Duluth have been flying high lately. Between the women's volleyball team and men's hockey team, UMD has held a #1 ranking nationally for over 15 weeks (via UMD). All those weeks at the top spot have worn out Champ's #1 flag that is flown on campus, and Champ is looking for help getting it replaced.

The campaign, which was launched on the University's URaiseMN website, asks for donations to help Champ raise a new flag. The page reports the old one has been battered by the elements, and needs to be replaced. Champ even produced a video (seen below) that was posted to the UMD Athletics Facebook Page to help in the campaign.
