The famous Vikings Gjallarhorn has fallen victim to the cold temperatures in the Twin Cities. The horn (pronounced yahl-lahr-hawrn, in case you didn't know how to say it) is sounded before every Vikings home game by a notable dignitary. Today, that will not be the case.

Temperatures on the field this morning have been in the low single digits below zero, with temperatures expected to float around the zero-degree mark through the game.

Hopefully this isn't a bad omen as the team prepares to hit the field for their first home playoff game in several years.
