Duluth's famous Lakewalk trail sustained major damage during two recent storms so the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division is organizing a cleanup event.

The cleanup will happen on Saturday, May 12th from 9 am until noon, the city is looking for 50 volunteers to help clear the turf area along the Canal Park segment of the Lakewalk behind the hotels.

Volunteers will be removing rock debris that was washed up during the October 2017 and April 2018 storms and will be asked to rake, bend, and haul rock material from the turf to the beach.

Registration is required here. Volunteers must be 12+ years or older.

Volunteers are asked to check in with City staff at the Endion Station parking lot (Canal
Park). Participants should dress for the weather. This event will be held rain or shine.
