Somes Students Cars Were Tampered With At Prom In Washburn WI

According to WDIO the Washburn Wisconsin Police Department issued a warning to parents of students who attended the prom that someone loosened the lugs nuts off vehicles, so be sure to check them immediately before driving their car.

Police say there were two reports of losse lug nuts on vehicles of students who's cars were parked on Washington Avenue the night of the Prom.

Washburn is located in Bayfield county on Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay. It is a very small town with a population in 2014 of 2,068 residents. Hopefully all of the students that attended Prom will take precautions to make sure their vehicles are safe. This is a scary situation anywhere but I am sur in such a close knit community like this one it is even more disturbing that someone would do something like this.
