Ready, set, go! This summer tradition known as Wednesday Night at the Races kicks off tomorrow night and every Wednesday night at various locations throughout Duluth until August 29th. This event is made possible through The Young Athletes Foundation and Grandmas Marathon. I remember when our boys were younger this was a highlight of the summer.

The races are free and a great way for the kids to get outside, have some exercise and compete in an event that is all about fun and celebrating fitness. This event has grown by leaps and bounds and now averages about 400 kids every week. Each child receives a ribbon upon completing the race and the distance to run is determined by what age group they are in.

Registration is from 5:00 -5:50 pm and is FREE! The races start promptly at 6:00pm with the Courage Duluth Wheelchair division starting first (when offered) followed by the youngest age group up to the oldest.
