What Was the Name of the Song Played at the End of the ‘Breaking Bad’ Finale?
Don't worry, I won't give away any spoilers, but if you're are looking for this or reading this, you probably saw the incredible ending of the AMC hit show 'Breaking Bad.' The show came to its conclusion with a soundtrack provided by a british rock band that was formed in the '60's.
Badfinger released the song 'Baby Blue' in the spring of 1972, the record peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and marked the last time Badfinger would crack the top 20.
Badfinger's Pete Ham wrote the song about a woman named Dixie that he fell in love with on a US tour, and one could assume that the song was played because of Walter White's love of his blue meth, his 'Baby Blue.'
Here are the lyrics to the song:
Guess I got what I deserve
Kept you waiting there, too long my love
All that time, without a word
Didn't know you'd think, that I'd forget, or I'd regret
The special love I have for you
My baby blue
All the days became so long
Did you really think I'd do you wrong
Dixie, when I let you go
Thought you'd realize, I would know, I would show
The special love I have for you
My baby blue
What can I do, what can I say?
Except that I want you by my side
How can I show you? Show me a way
Don't you know, the times I tried
Guess that's all I have to say
Except the feeling just gets stronger everyday
Just one thing, before I go
Take good care, baby let me know, let it show
The special love you have for me
My Dixie dear
