What Does Your Zip Code Code Say About You?

Your zip code is big business in the hands of marketing companies, and  makes up what they think they know about you.

Have you noticed that a trend within the last year or two is certain stores asking you what your zip code is? Most of us   realize it is for marketing purposes and not just for that particular store either. Many of your purchases help paint a picture all about you.

Are you expecting a baby, a health nut, smoker, heavy drinker, have kids? All of your purchases are put in a database by company's that buy this information. Sometimes this can be used for marketing coupons.

I love this, because I am someone who totally checks out what other people are buying especially at a grocery store. We all have done buying a weird combo of stuff, like Elmers glue, ice cream and a fly swatter....ha ha.
