The Minnesota High School Boys basketball tournament starts today but the Lakeview Christian Academy Lions will have to have to wait till Thursday to hit the hard court. But when they do, they will bring with them not only Minnesota’s All-Time leading scorer, but also a Mr. Basketball finalist in the likes of Anders Broman who led the area in scoring this year. He will be playing college basketball at South Dakota State University.

Lakeview Chiristian Academy will play Rushford–Peterson at 1pm Thursday at Williams Arena in the Class A tournament.

Anders Broman leads the Lions with 42 points per game and 10 rebounds, it's their 2nd trip to state.....

That Lions game will be webcast on Ifan.tv.

Three area teams will be playing at state.

The first team to take the court will be Grand Rapids on Wednesday as they will face Marshall at 4pm at Williams Arena in the Class AAA tournament....

The Thunderhawks are 20–9 overall.

It's their 6th straight trip and 12th appearance at state overall.

Alex Illikainen leads them with 27 points and 15 rebounds per game.

Esko is also at state, they will be playing in the AA tournament...

The Eskomos also play on Wednesday at 8pm also at Williams Arena. They are 26–4 overall...and it's their 3rd trip to state.

Eskomos averaging 72 points per game this year.

The had a dramatic last section buzzer beater win to get there.
