The first Winter in the West Festival is being held this Saturday from 9am-10:30 pm at Various businesses and organizations in West Duluth. The event was put together by a non profit agency called RiverFront Community Development and it's mission is to bring together the entire West Duluth neighborhood and businesses together.

The day is full of fun activities for all ages and everyone is welcome to attend. We spoke with Janet Kennedy who is one of the members of Riverfront Community Development and she had said how excited she is to be part of this event and hope for many more to come in the future. This event is to encourage outdoor play and active movement, while exploring what Western Duluth has to offer.

The first event is from 9-10:30am for a Free Community Breakfast hosted by Asbury United Methodist Church's  and Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Other businesses participating are The Ski Hut, Duluth Antique Marketplace, Dungeons End, Zenith Bookstore, Hiki Hut, Ganucci's Italian Market, Twin Port's Cyclery, Beaners Central and more. A Map will be handed out to all participants with activity times and locations. Come out and support this great event which helps to bring our community together.
