2019 Martin Luther King Day Events In Duluth
On the third Monday in January of every year, we celebrate the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr. Here are some of the events going on in Duluth for the federal holiday.
In celebration of the civil rights activist, the holiday is a day to promote equal rights for all Americans. With it being a federal holiday, there will be some businesses that will be closed in Duluth:
- Post office (Duluth and Superior)
- St. Louis County offices
- Minnesota federal and state offices
- Wisconsin federal and state offices
- Duluth public schools
- Duluth library branches
- Fond du Lac Reservation tribal offices

- Sunday January 20th - MLK Tribute Inter-Faith Worship Service at Peace United Church of Christ from 4 pm - 6 pm
- Monday January 21st - MLK Tribute Breakfast Program at First United Methodist Church from 7 am - 9:30 am
- Monday January 21st - MLK Tribute March at Washington Community Recreation Center from 10 am - 11:30 am
- Monday January 21st - MLK Rally at Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center from 12 pm - 1:30 pm
