I am not going to lecture people who are trying to be prepared for themselves or their families to possibly have to be quarantined for 2 weeks or more during this current pandemic. What I am going to do is give everyone a little reminder about plumbing though. Reddit User u/s face published a post from the St.Paul Public Works Department below:

SANITARY SEWER NOTICE "Due to the coronavirus concerns, there has been a shortage of toilet paper on store shelves. This may cause people to look for alternative products such as paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, flushable wipes, and other similar items. These products do not break down like toilet paper and can cause sanitary sewer backups, which in turn can cause additional public health concerns. PLEASE DON'T FLUSH ITEMS OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN YOUR TOILET. Edit: POOP PEE AND TP ONLY!"

Now desperate times call for desperate measures hence the people hoarding all the toilet paper. Take it from me who had a sewer back up at least 1x a year. Use toilet paper only or you will be sorry! But again don't be that person emptying the shelves, leave some for the rest of us!
