Mother’s Day

Congratulations Deedra for being the winner of our Mother Knows Best Contest! She was absolutely ecstatic when I spoke to her on the phone  to tell her she won, to which she credits her mom for giving her some pretty sage words of wisdom when she was a teen.

If my mom was still around I could not even imagine the super random text messages she would have sent me, but on the other hand she would never have text just continue to call me. She was old school like that. :)

Honestly I would  hope that anybody that would purchase this for their mother or wife did so as a joke only, but you never know.

Mix 108 is proud to be a sponsor again this year for the 29th Annual YWCA Mother’s Day Walk/Run.  The 5K run was started 29 years ago by Betty Brasgala. As an avid runner, she saw the need for a women-only event in Duluth to inspire women to “get off the sidelines”.  After three years, Betty chose to affiliate the race with the YWCA.
