Friday night (September 18) saw Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower bathed in teal light as part of an awareness campaign for ovarian cancer. Charlene's Light, the organization behind the lighting of the landmarks, organized a series of fundraising and awareness building events for their cause this weekend.

Lighting the landmarks is the most visible aspect of the local campaign organized by Charlene's Light. Beside being a beautiful visual, organizers hope it will inspire women to educate themselves about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and create a general awareness among people about the disease.
