A strong word of caution to parents of infants and young children:  The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Fisher-Price corporation have issued a voluntary recall on two of their products with suffocation risk being the cause.  According to details released by both organizations, the recall is on Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Rock 'n Glide Soothers and 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders.   Four deaths have been reported as of this time.

The press kit from Fisher-Price shares that "infants who are placed unrestrained in the product and later found on their stomach are at risk for suffocation".  The four deaths are specifically attributed to the 4-in-1 Rock 'n Glide Soothers, however the company has also chosen to recall the 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders at the same time.

The incidents leading up to the recalls occurred over the last year and a half.  Between April 2018 and February 2020, a "4-month old from Missouri, a 2-month old from Nevada, a 2-month old from Michigan, and an 11-week old from Colorado"  suffered suffocation which led to their deaths.
