The Minnesota Wild signed native Minnesotan and former UMD Bulldog star J.T. Brown to a two-year deal.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that the deal is worth $1.375 million. Brown played high school hockey for Rosemount and college hockey with the Bulldogs where he won a national championship in 2011 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Brown entered the NHL undrafted in 2012 and played for the Tampa Bay Lightning for 5 seasons before playing with the Anaheim Ducks last season. Brown has scored 20 goals in his career and has 64 points.

In the two seasons Brown played for the Bulldogs he scored 40 goals and had 84 points
