Do you know whose dogs these are? Animal Allies is looking for the owner of these dogs that were found. They think that they belong to a family who must be missing them. Unfortunately, they have not been micro-chipped.

The first dog is a female golden retriever. She seems to be a happy dog, just look at that smile! Of course, I don't know if I've ever seen a golden retriever that didn't seem happy.

According to animal allies, she wasn't wearing a collar and she also was not microchipped. They also say that it is a younger dog. If the owners or owners' friends recognize the dog, they can call Animal Allies at 218-722-5341.

Another dog is also looking for their family. This large black and white mixed breed dog was found in Floodwood, Minnesota near the 300 block of 10th Avenue.

There is a mandatory 5-day hold on found pets like these two. Although many people have commented on social media that they would love to bring these pets into their homes, they are not for adoption at this time.

After the state mandatory 5-day hold, the dogs are then processed and put into the Animal Allies adoption program. Obviously getting them back to their home is the number one priority.

It's a good reminder for pet owners to have their dogs wear a collar with identification and also get them microchipped. Keep an eye out for free microchip clinics held across the Northland every year.
