Spring break is upon us and that means lots of us will be traveling to a tropical destination! Whether traveling domestically or internationally, packing can be a big pain. It's hard to figure out what you need for a short period of time.

The good news is we have a bunch of airports in Minnesota and Wisconsin that can help us get to our destination smoothly. To ease the already-stressful packing process, it is also a good idea to read up on what you can and cannot put in your checked bag.
While I knew that some items were banned, I was absolutely shocked when I went to the TSA website and saw that there were a ton of items that could not be put in a checked bag! The list includes a certain type of cell phone and even certain types of hair tools.
Other things make sense on the list, like things that could cause chaos mid-air. Nonetheless, whether you are an avid traveler or not, you don't want to be that person who gets called over the intercom to get your bag torn apart because you accidentally packed something you shouldn't have.

I combed through the fifty page list to see which items were banned. A few honorable mentions that didn't make the list? These might make you chuckle:
- Cooking spray (It seem like a bad idea to mix that in with your nice clothes, right?)
- English Christmas crackers
- Hoverboards
- Spray starch
- Engines
Check out the rest of the list below. Safe travels!
