A recent automobile in Duluth has led authorities to reach out to the public for help locating the individual involved.

The Duluth Police Department utilized its Facebook page on Monday, November 20, to share information on the case and to share pictures of the suspect.

According to police, the individual in the photo was seen fleeing from a stolen red Dodge Durango near N 57th Avenue West and Wadena Street on Friday, November 17. The photo was taken at approximately 2:40 p.m.

The theft occurred on the 400 block of N. 58th Avenue West and investigators suspect the subject had been casing the area where the vehicle was stolen.

While the photos of the suspect captured them in motion, Duluth Police did share a description of the individual:

  • A  younger white male
  • Sandy blonde hair
  • He was seen wearing a black sweatshirt with cartoon characters on it
  • The suspect was wearing glasses

Duluth Police encourage anyone with information related to the case, or knows who the individual in the photo is, to call their Auto Theft Investigator at (218)-730-5653 and reference ICR# 23167222. They can also submit an anonymous tip by texting the keyword 'DPDTIP' and your tip to 847411.

As is always the case when incidents like this occur, the more people who see this, the better chance there is of identifying the suspect and hopefully preventing them from continuing to commit crimes within the community.
