A Northlander named Kayla Fawcett just launched Kayla's Blind Date With A Book, which makes the perfect gift for yourself or a fellow book lover in your life.

How does it work? First and foremost, you choose a genre. After that, you can choose between hardcover and paperback bestselling books. Hardcovers cost $30 bucks and paperback about $25.

All books purchased come with a bookmark, pens, tabs for annotating, post-it notes and stickers. You order a book based on genre and Kayla picks it for you - hence the whole 'blind date' thing.

She also offers second chance books that are thrifted for less at about $15 bucks a pop. These secondhand books also come with all the fixings. She also offers series of books and custom orders.

She delivers around Duluth and Superior for a small fee, and can ship as well. This makes the perfect gift for a family member or friend.

Kayla says she started the business because she loves books and talking to others about what books they are reading. She saw the idea on TikTok and personalized it. Overall, she says she loves sharing her love of books and surprises with the Duluth and Superior community.
