Popular Minnesota Burger + Malt Shop Announces 2025 Opening Date
It's always a great time of the year when signs of spring start popping up across the Northland. Already this week, the West Duluth Dairy Queen announced they had opened for the season at 4431 Grand Avenue.
Of course, the day after that announcement, the National Weather Service reminded us that spring and ice cream don't necessarily mean that winter weather is done with us as they track a storm that could dump a significant amount of snow ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
That's just March in the Northland, so we shall focus on the positive things that happen regardless of the weather, and another sure sign of spring is happening soon in Cloquet and it happens to be one of the most legendary burger and malt shops in Minnesota.
Gordy's Hi-Hat Announces 2025 Opening Date
Recently, Gordy's Hi-Hat shared a fun video on its Facebook page to announce its opening date for the season.

Gordy's Hi-Hat was opened in 1960 by Gordy and Marilyn Lundquist and 65 years later it is still independently owned and operated by the Lundquist family today who continue to do things the “old-fashioned” that customers know and love at 415 Sunnyside Drive in Cloquet.
Gordy's will celebrate its 65 season by opening on Thursday, March 20, which is also the first official day of spring.
Now that they've announced that opening date, it's time to build another great team Gordy's Hi-Hat posted this week that they are hiring. Those interested in applying can stop by on Tuesday, March 11, between 4 pm and 7 pm.

You'll be able to apply for a position and be interviewed on the spot for a full-time or part-time position at Gordy's Hi-Hat or the Warming House.
Remember another big sign of spring happens this weekend when Daylight Saving happens once again. Remember to set your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday, and enjoy the extra daylight on Sunday, March 9.
