Here's something that wasn't on my Bingo card for 2025! A wild goose chase that involved a U-Haul is making headlines.

It's no secret some weird things happen in Minnesota. I blame winter and how we all get kind of bored, right?

This incident happened over the weekend in Elk River, a city about two hours from Duluth. Officers chased down a motorist who was driving a U-Haul all over the town and then some.

Yes, really. An account on X that goes by MN_CRIME shared details of the story, along with video of part of the incident.

Wow! The person driving the U-Haul, according to this report, led officers on a high speed chase across the same highway in both directions - both northbound and southbound.

The motorist then got off on an exit, drove into a liquor store parking lot and then over a snowy sidewalk, because leading police on a high speed chase wasn't bad enough.

Thankfully, the cops were able to pull off a pretty cool move to get the U-Haul to stop. I have so many questions about this. Why was this person leading cops on a high speed chase in a U-Haul? How fast do those things go?

Maybe this drive thought it would be good marketing for the company? Maybe they got lost and were trying to find their house?

In all seriousness, while this is a wacky story, I am glad nobody was hurt. You never know what you are going to see when you hit the open road I guess.
