Fourth of July is right around the corner and will be here before you know it. The holiday is big for celebrations, often including fireworks, barbecue and the great outdoors.

In honor of the holiday, WalletHub has ranked the most patriotic and least patriotic states in the country. They released this study on Monday (June 17th) just in time.

WalletHub analysts looked at a variety of factors, including peace corps volunteers and veterans per capita, volunteer rate, how many adults voted in the 2020 election and more.

The good news? Wisconsin did have a high voter turnout in the last election, boosting them a bit in this study. Otherwise, they find themselves on the bottom half of the list. Better luck next year?
