Undated (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol responded to at least two fatal crashes in Minnesota Friday.

The first of the two deadly crashes was reported shortly before 5 p.m. near the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. Emergency responders were called to a crash along I-94 involving a motorcycle operator.

The state crash report indicates the motorcycle was traveling west on the freeway when the rider lost control after changing lanes while navigating a construction zone. The motorcycle then went down an embankment and collided with a sign on the road below the interstate.

The operator, identified as 25-year-old Jacob Alexander Boldenow of Woodbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet and was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the deadly crash, the report says.

The second fatality happened about four hours later in a township about 40 miles northwest of Thief River Falls in northern Minnesota. The state crash report says a sedan was traveling north on Hwy. 59 when it left the roadway and rolled.
