At Least Two Fatal Accidents Reported in Minnesota Thursday
Undated (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol responded to at least two fatal traffic incidents in Minnesota on Thursday.
The first crash happened in Hibbing shortly after 5 p.m. The second fatality occurred about 45 minutes later in the Twin Cities.
The Hibbing crash involved a semi truck and a Toyota Prius. The preliminary crash report says the eastbound truck was crossing the southbound lanes of Hwy. 169 when it was struck by the southbound Prius.
The Prius driver is being described as a 54-year-old Hibbing woman. Her name has not been released. The trucker, 50-year-old Michael David Croft of Mountain Iron, MN was not hurt.
The victim of the Twin Cities fatal accident was a pedestrian from Minneapolis.

The state crash report indicates a northbound pick-up truck struck the 54-year-old man while he was walking at the intersection of Hwy. 47 and Mississippi St. in Fridley.
The victim’s name has not been disclosed. The pick-up driver, identified as 29-year-old Troy David Bauer of Columbia Heights, was not hurt.
Both reports indicate alcohol was not involved in either fatality. The State Patrol plans to release more information regarding the fatal incidents Friday night.
