Hinckley, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is indicating that alcohol was involved in a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in east-central Minnesota.

The preliminary crash report from the State Patrol says a car traveling west on Highway 48 in Pine County about 10 miles east of Hinckley crossed over the center line and collided with an eastbound pickup truck around 4:40 PM. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as 40-year-old Joseph Peacock of Mora. The State Patrol report says the alcohol involvement in the deadly incident was connected to him.

The driver of the pickup was identified as 62-year-old Lori Shoberg of Chisago City. The State Patrol says she suffered non-life-threatening injuries but did not require transport to a hospital.
