Duluth, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in northern Minnesota say a man suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run on Thursday.

The pedestrian was hit by the vehicle around 5:45 p.m. Law enforcement reported locating the suspect vehicle. 

The hit-and-run occurred near a mobile home park in the 9500 block of Grand Ave. in southern Duluth. The victim hit by the vehicle is described as a 24-year-old man.

He was taken by ambulance from the scene to a hospital after suffering what are described as critical injuries. He has been identified as Raymond Skoglund of Duluth. 

A news release from the Duluth Police Department says officers found the suspect vehicle shortly after responding to the hit-and-run

On Friday morning officers arrested the driver on suspicion of Criminal Vehicular Operation Hit and Run Gross Negligence, Hit and Run Failure to Stop for Injury Accident, and Criminal Vehicular Operation Great Bodily Harm Driver Leaves Scene.

The driver is identified as 88-year-old Ronald Myrdahl of Duluth. He's being held at the St. Louis County Jail.
