
15-Year-Old Boy Dies in Shooting Outside of Twin Cities Area Mall, Suspect Arrested
The teenager was given life-saving care at the scene and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead
Blaine, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage boy was shot and killed outside of a Twin Cities area mall Friday afternoon.

That’s according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities identified the young victim over the weekend.
They also announced an arrest in connection with the deadly shooting.

Teen Boy Shot & Killed Outside of Twin Cities Mall, One Suspect in Custody
First responders were dispatched to report of shots fired at the Northtown Mall in Blaine shortly before 5:15 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival emergency personnel located a male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The teenager was given life-saving care at the scene and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says.
Officials identified the fatal shooting victim as 15-year-old Sudais Abdi Omar of Brooklyn Park.
Authorities said three males were seen fleeing from the mall shooting. Law enforcement captured one of the individuals. He is identified as 20-year-old Ayub Abdullahi Mohamed.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says he is being held on suspicion of Aiding an Offender and has not yet been formally charged. A description of the two other suspects is not available.
Law enforcement has not announced any additional arrests as of Monday morning. Officials say there is not a reason to believe the suspects pose a risk to the general public.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting.
