
At Least Three Killed in Crashes on Minnesota’s Roads Saturday and Sunday
Undated (MinnesotaNow)- The State Patrol responded to at least three fatal crashes on Minnesota’s roads over the weekend.

One crash involved two pick-ups and the two other deadly collisions involved motorcycles. Two of the fatal collisions happened on Sunday.
So far only preliminary information is available about the fatal crashes involving motorcycles.

Minnesota State Patrol Responds to At Least Three Fatal Crashes Saturday and Sunday
Saturday’s deadly collision occurred around 8 p.m. on Highway 23 near Foley, about 12 miles northeast of St. Cloud.
Two pickup trucks traveling in opposite directions collided head-on, the state crash report says. The person killed in the crash has been identified as 64-year-old Edward Leroy Hindermann of St. Cloud.
There were two occupants in the other pickup truck. The State Patrol says the driver was a 17-year-old girl from Foreston.

She and her passenger, identified as 18-year-old Rihanna Kanyetzny of Oak Park, were brought to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the state crash report.
Sunday’s first deadly crash occurred just after 11 a.m. about 18 miles north of Alexandria.
A motorcycle traveling north on Hwy. 29 collided with a southbound minivan that was making a left turn into a driveway, the state crash report says. The motorcycle then collided with a car that was also traveling south.
45-year-old David Anderson from Miltona was operating the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at an Alexandria Hospital and was wearing a helmet, the updated state crash report says.
The State Patrol identified the minivan driver as a 90-year-old Jurlienne Ella Riedel of Parkers Prairie and the car driver as a Shane David Christensen 51-year-old Ivanhoe. They escaped the deadly collision without injuries.
The third deadly crash reported over the weekend occurred along Interstate 94 in downtown Minneapolis.
21-year-old Paul Calderon Cabrera of Spring Lake Park was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he crashed on an entrance ramp to westbound I-94, according to the state crash report.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and was wearing a helmet, the State Patrol says.
