Michael Rapaport Is Bringing His Stand Up Routine To Minnesota This Week
Michael Rapaport is an American actor and comedian who is taking his show on the road. I have been a fan of his for years and never realized how funny he was until I stumbled across a video on Facebook years ago and more recently his videos on Tic Toc. Rapaport will be making a stop at the House of Comedy with shows on August 26, 27 and 28. For more information and tickets click here.
Guessing by some of his videos he posts on Facebook and Tic Toc his comedy style is very much in your face, he does not pull any punches in case you are not familiar with his comedic style. Since the early 1990's he as appeared in over 60 films along with many guest appearances on TV shows like Friends and Boston Public. The last movie I saw him in was The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissia McCarthy and he was awesome playing McCarthy's troubled brother.
Rapaport a born and raised New Yorker did have a brief stint in Minnesota before, when he starred in the movie Beautiful Girls which came out in 1996. He was surrounded by quite the all star cast like Natalie Portman, Timothy Hutton, Matt Dillon, and Uma Thurman. According to Wikipedia director Ted Demme had the entire cast come to Minneapolis and live together for two to three weeks so that they could bond. Demme "wanted to make it look like it's Anytown USA, primarily East Coast. And also wanted it to feel like a real working class town."
