The Moose housed at the MN Zoo are some lucky animals, as they are now sleeping in style on custom waterbeds in a study about body heat.

Considering the area that Moose are known to live, the winters can be very long and cold, so the fact that they run a little on the warm side is a good thing.

But when it comes to when they lay down they may have trouble staying cool, unless they are maybe laying in the snow. This new study will help scientists understand how to better care for them in captivity, and by the looks of this picture, they seem to be adjusting just fine. Let's just hope that none of the moose have any sharp spots on the old hoofs, or it will be a popped water bed.
