'Scream At Lake Superior Until You Feel Better' Event In Duluth

Every now and then you come across an event that makes you think: "this makes sense". It also seems like an event that you're not sure if it will actually happen or not.

An event currently being organized in Duluth brings people together to scream for a good cause. Winters can be hard, especially while living in the frozen tundra. I recently came across an event that instantly knew I needed to know more about it.

The event is called "Collectively Scream At Lake Superior Until We Feel Better". With a title like that, it will definitely catch people's attention. The more I looked into it, the more it made sense.

Sometimes people bottle up a lot of feelings inside and its good to release that stuff, in a healthy way. They even had a vote on where this event should take place, and the destination ended up being Leif Erickson Park. The event will be held at 7:30 pm on April 1st, 2023.

There will be no hate, no judgment, and no unwanted questions. All you need to do, is to shout your little heart out until you're satisfied.

It was also suggested to bring your own Top the Tater and Bent Paddle. While a good one, I think the Bent Paddle thing is a joke because in order to drink in a city park for an event, you must have an alcohol consumption permit according to the city.

Lastly, not only is this event meant to be for the community, there will be donations for separate community needs to be collected. One is to bring canned goods for the local food shelf. The other one is to set up a GoFundMe for displaced workers at the mall that need help.

The organizer has responded to a few people by saying this is an actual event, despite being held on April Fool's Day. The organizer also posted in the discussion part of the event, he posted that if anybody wanted connections to mental health resources, their partner would be happy to help and connect them to different places. Another important thing, is the organizer reminded people not to trash the area while they are there.
