I didn't watch the Phillip Phillips season of American Idol, but now I wish I would have.  I love his single, "Home," and now thanks to the song being used during the 2012 Summer Olympics Phillips has hit "gold" with the number 1 spot on iTunes.

The athletes have been training for the last four years. The city has been preparing for the last seven years. And the fans have been booking their tickets for months and months. The 2012 London Summer Olympics are upon us!

Good news for Spice Girls fans. After turning down a performance at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee earlier this year, the ladies will reunite for a performance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics Summer Games on Aug. 12. They’re doing it for their country!
