The BET Awards took place on Sunday June 26th and along with some great performances, speeches and accolades many artists did a tribute to Prince including someone who knew him best, Sheila E.

The 2013 BET Awards were missing a big name: Drake. And that's because of another big name: Chris Brown.

It's difficult to tell in advance who will be the 2013 BET Awards winners. Drake led in nominations, earning a whopping 12 nods (despite not making an appearance since Chris Brown will be there), followed by Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz.

Not like there was much doubt, but congratulations are still in order. Big ups to Nicki Minaj, who not only delivered a killer performance, but also won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the 2012 BET Awards!
