As fire dangers continue to grow, the US Forest Service made the decision to issue a temporary closure of the entire Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Officials with the US Forest Service announced Thursday afternoon that a portion of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will be closed starting this weekend due to fires across the border in Canada.
The Minnesota Stay at Home order currently runs through May 4. Out of respect to the order, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will remained closed.
