Call me maybe

Music videos, a cannonball fail, and a drunk guy singing Queen from the back of a squad car are just a few of 2012's Most Viral Videos from mashable.com.  They'll make you laugh, they'll make you cry, they'll get suck in your head, and they'll live in infamy with the "viral video" status.

Thank heavens for nerds. One time when we were bored, we dug all the Doritos bits out of our couch.* This guy hacked his running watch so he could control the tempo of it with his heartbeat. Then he filmed himself doing jumping jacks to 'Call Me Maybe.' This video might be the reason that song exists.

I was an orchestra geek at one point in my life, which is probably why this is one of my favorite covers of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."  Aside from the one when all the male models sing without shirts.

I apologize for yet ANOTHER "Call Me Maybe" parody video, but this one is worth checking out.  If you're not familiar with Geordie Slang (don't worry, I had to Google it too,) it doesn't really matter.  Chances are you already know the English translation.

Add the 2012 Team USA Olympic Swimmers to the list of Carly Rae Jepsen lovers covering "Call Me Maybe."  But not all those covers feature Olympic Gold hopefuls.  Now if we could only get those synchronized swimmers to do a cover.  GO Team USA!!!!

You knew that this would happen soon, the Big 10 Mascots have jumped on the "Call Me Maybe" train and it is THE BEST out of all of them. Of course my favorite mascots in order 1.) Bucky Badger 2.) Goldy Gopher. They rocked it.
