A 70-year-old retired teacher was surprised when she got her new license plates in the mail. Will she keep them?

There's a new phishing scam that looks like they come from MnDOT and Minnesota Driver and Vehicle Services asking to renew or validate their driver's license.

The DMV has helped people practice social distancing during the pandemic by putting more services online, but doing so has also opened the door to scammers.

The changes went into effect Wednesday, April 8th.

You can use the secure drop box outside of the St. Louis County Auditor's Miller Hill Mall location. This includes renewing tabs, motor vehicle titles, and some other services.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is warning Minnesotans to be aware of telemarketer phone calls falsely making claims regarding DMV / DVS information and the price of their auto insurance.

With the threat of the Government shutdown possibly happening on tomorrow, I had to make a mad dash to the D.M.V.  since coincidentally my drivers license expires on Friday as well.
