The city of Duluth is trying an experiment with a "parklet" set up on the corner of Superior Street and West 1'st Street. A parklet is a public space used as extra sidewalk.
Downtown Duluth retailer Global Village Duluth stirred up a heated conversation on their Facebook page, following their fourth annual "MLK Day Black Sale" drawing criticism about the theme of the sale and terminology used to promote it. Earlier today (Tuesday, January 21), the owner issued an apology on the business's Facebook page, but that apology still has some crying foul.
Mini golfers from around the Twin Ports putted their way around Downtown Duluth on Saturday (April 13) for the first ever Duluth Pub and Putt event. In an endeavor between the radio stations of Townsquare Media and the Greater Downtown Council, golfers visited seven different mini golf holes hosted at downtown bars and restaurants.
