Halloween Blizzard

A Halloween blizzard, it was not. Areas did still get measurable snow. Here's a roundup of the totals around Minnesota and Wisconsin.

We all remember the Halloween Blizzard of 1991, but how common is having snow on Halloween?

Comparisons to the Halloween Blizzard of '91 were, in retrospect, a bad idea, but even though there wasn't a broad area of 2-foot-plus snows, an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 square miles picked up a foot or more of snow.

It occurred to me in a conversation today that I'm getting old because I actually remember the '91 blizzard when so many of my coworkers in their early 30s don't.
