The best part of "The Voice" is going on now--the battle rounds.  Pitting two members of each team together to sing-off for their coaches, and the better of the two moves on.  I was a little disappointed that they skipped through a few of the battles last night, only showing highlights and the winner.  I'm glad they showed the match between Caroline Glaser and Danielle Bradbery from Team

Britney's "Criminal" music video for the song was filmed in Dalston and Stoke Newington, London. It features Britney's relationship with a criminal, played by her real-life then-boyfriend Jason Trawick. It's April 12th, and we're still getting massive amounts of snow.  I've chosen to embrace it rather than let it get me down.  To celebrate the latest dumping of the white stuff, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Snow" off the Grammy–winning 2006 double album, Stadium Arcadium is an appropriate Feel Good Song of the Day!

Bette Midler didn't write the song, and she wasn't the one who originally recorded it--but she made it famous when it was recorded for the soundtrack for the movie "Beaches."

From her 2005 album, The Cookbook, Missy Elliott's "Lose Control" is one of my all-time favorite music videos and today's Feel Good Song of the Day. It also has a great Tommy Lee cameo.  Yes, that Tommy Lee.

The Black Eyed Peas 2006 song "Pump It" heavily incorporates music from Dick Dale's 1962 surf version of the song "Misirlou" (known by many for being featured in the 1994 Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction). "Misirlou" is a popular folk song of Greek origin dating back to 1927...

Shaffer Chimere Smith (better known by his stage name, Ne-Yo,) released "Sexy Love" in 2006.  It was the fourth and final U.S. single released from his debut album, In My Own Words.  It reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.  

"Inside Out" from 1998 is the debut single from Eve 6 off their debut album Eve 6. The song was a big hit, managing to top the Modern Rock Tracks chart three times for a combined total of four weeks--at number one and nine weeks at number 2...

I was never a huge Shakira fan.  That is, until I started watching her on "The Voice" this season.  She has way more personality than Christina Aguilera ever did (sorry Xtina!) and she's funny!  There's no serious "bickering" between her and the other coaches, and the whole vibe of the show is so much better.  Oh, and Usher is easy on the eyes too.

It's still the most popular single from the Minneapolis group Next.  It's a good song, but when you give it a close listen, you realize that the song is about a man who has become aroused by a young woman who is grinding on him at the club and cannot control his "excitement...

Yes, I understand today's Feel Good Song of the Day contradicts itself.  But to be honest, not all FGSOTD's have been "feel good."  Fuel's "Bad Day" (not to be confused with Daniel Powter's "Bad Day") was the 2001 release off the album Something Like Human.

The best thing about this song isn't the song. It's the video.  See kids?  Flashmobs were invented well before youtube made them famous.
